N° 01 — International Logistics
A removal is no longer a matter of vans and waybills. It is a managed administrative landscape — and Arto House walks it on the client's behalf, from the kerb in Mayfair to the courtyard in Cap d'Antibes.
The Discipline of Distance
Since the recalibration of European trade in 2021, the movement of a household between the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area has become a cartography of forms — EORI registrations, ToR01 reliefs, Transit Accompanying Documents, Goods Movement References. To the uninitiated, it is a hedge of frustrations. To Arto House, it is the discipline that separates the freight broker from the moving house worth the name.
Each cross-Channel commission is overseen by a dedicated coordinator who carries the file from the first inventory to the final signature. We file. We pre-notify. We escort. And on the rare occasion when a customs office of the Île-de-France or the Generalitat de Catalunya wishes to inspect the contents of a private library, we arrive with the paperwork already in hand.
In-House Customs Concierge
N° I
Mandatory for every cross-border declaration since 2021. We hold both GB and EU EORI coverage and register clients where required, removing the most common cause of consignment seizure at the port.
N° II
For clients establishing a new primary residence, ToR relief exempts personal goods from VAT and import duties. We assemble the dossier — proof of address, ownership, inventory — to the satisfaction of HMRC and the receiving authority.
N° III
TAD and TSAD documents are issued in-house, allowing a single consignment to traverse multiple member states without re-declaration at every border — essential for the UK–FR–DE corridor.
N° IV
Eurotunnel and ferry passages are pre-notified through the Goods Vehicle Movement Service. Departure slots are booked, not gambled upon. Schedules are kept.
N° V
Every consignment is photographed, weighed, and itemised against a single digital manifest — the foundation of customs valuation and the bedrock of our all-risks insurance programme.
N° VI
With the EU's de minimis threshold scheduled to retire in July 2026, scrutiny of every cross-border movement will intensify. We have already adapted our protocols. Our clients will not feel the change.
The Fleet
A discreet livery. Charcoal-grey Euro-6 tractors, climate-stable trailers, air-ride suspension. The truck that arrives at your gate is the truck that arrives at the gate of your new home — no transfers, no warehouses, no exposure.
